The waste-rock pile volume calculation of DTEK Coal preparation plant Kurakhovo ” was conducted in April 2017. The aim of the work was to obtain reliable data for the creation of a digital elevation model. These annual measurements are needed to control balance output/waste, and to comply with environmental regulations on emissions. To obtain the dense point cloud (more than 5 million points) is required when calculating the volume was used UAV technology. The control was carried out using GNSS receivers at characteristic points of inflection of the relief.
